2 Months Old!

Thats right, Jude is 2 months old! Time is going really fast...too fast.

Here are some pictures and updates!

Jude smiling at Daddy. Getting all set up for pictures.

2 Month (8 week appointment) Friday August 20th

~12 pounds 8 ounces - 77%
~23 3/4 inches - 84%

Very healthy - doctor is impressed with all of the milestones Jude has reached thus far, keep it up little man!!

Doctor says Jude will be like his Daddy, tall!! He has almost grown 4 inches since birth! He is growing before our eyes.

Going to be big like Daddy!

At this appointment he got his first round of shots. He cried bloody murder for about 2 seconds and then stopped. He was a little fussy for the evening but once we gave him tylenol he was fine. Just sleepy.
His next appointment will be in October for his 4 month check-up.

One of Jude's biggest accomplishments at 8 weeks was sleeping through the night! On the night of the 19th into the 20th he slept for 8 hours for the very first time!! Way to make us know you are a BIG BOY Jude! Marking your 8 week appointment with lots of sleep! Way to go! He has been sleeping from 10pm-6:30am every night since! Mommy and Daddy are so happy and proud - and yes we know we are lucky too!

Another fun thing latey are all of the smiles and giggles! He is one happy baby! Love it!!

2 MONTHS!!! Our little Turtle is growing. We love you Turtle!!!!

Upcoming events:
This weekend we are moving my brother into his apartment. Busy Saturday for us. Possibly going swiming with Jude at my brother's pool on Sunday! Could be an eventful time - first swimming with Jude. The weather is supposed to be great, so we will see!

Next weekend - Labor Day weekend. Sunday of next weekend Jude will be getting baptized! It will be a great weekend of visiting and celebrating. Jeremy's parents are coming into town for this and so are Lauren and Jared! I can't wait to see everyone!! Pictures to follow of course!

Well thats our update!

Well here I am...

First post back at work.

First of all, I cannot believe my maternity leave is coming to a close. It isn’t completely over as I am going part time for the next 6 weeks but still! How has 8 weeks already come and gone?

As Jude and I got in the car this morning to head to my parents (Our Day Care) I looked at him in the mirror and said, here we go Turtle – another first for us both. He didn’t care, he was happily looking out the window of the car. So easy going.

Over and over again, I tell myself we are so lucky. My parents are watching Jude for us while we work, we are so blessed. The money we are saving will be great help for us. Maybe eventually letting me work part time or something, time will tell. At this point I do need to get back to work full time because we have hospital bills and Target bills to pay off! (Seriously Target you have gotten so much of our money with all the baby stuff we needed at first! Lol)

Well work is work, I am getting caught up on things and today seems to be going really fast, 2 more hours until I head to my parents to pick him up!! YAY!!

Updates to come tomorrow on his 8 week doctor appointment and his 2 month picture! Tomorrow he is 2 months old!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!

Already? Going Back to Work!

I can't believe these 8 weeks have gone so fast. I have mixed emotions at this point. I am so thankful for these past 8 weeks I have had with Turtle and know that I am so lucky to have had that time. I will start back to work on Tuesday the 24th. I will only be working part time for the next 6 weeks - again, so thankful for that option.

Like I said I have mixed emotions. I love being home with Jude but apart of me knows that I am a working girl. I miss having adult contact through out the day and miss my work relationships - oh and a paycheck!! I know that it will be super hard on Tuesday to leave Jude but I know it is for the best at this point.

Jude will be going to my parents house, they are both retired - thankful yet again! God is good! Thats all that has to be said! Things have really worked out for the best for us and Jude and my parents are so excited to watch him. They really want me to go back to work - thanks parents!!! lol

In the future, I would like to possible work part-time, I dont know if that will work at my current job but after talking to Jeremy about the possiblity I think we will try to make that work some day. We will see how it goes after I go back full time in October. Yikes!!

I really got annoyed with the "watch out it goes fast" comments but now I find myself saying every day! Before we know it he will be 1 year old! :(

So on Tuesday as I leave my parents house, I will remember that it goes fast - lets hope the work days do too!! :O)

Baby Smiles!

Jude you make my heart melt! :O)

Mornings are so much fun around here, and I am so happy for that. I know that even when I go back to work next week that I will get my mornings with my little turtle. Just a little earlier than usual though! ;) Jude smiles so much in the morning. His favorite place to really interact with me is on his changing table. He just looks up at me and smiles and giggles. He must feel very safe there or something. So for about 10-15 minutes we just hang out on the changing table! Here are some of the pictures I have gotten so far. I love them all, and I might be biased but damn he is cute!! LOL

Just talking to mom!

There is the smile!

Naked baby picture!

He looks like he is shy here...but he isnt!

Another happy morning!

Cute smile! Look how big he is getting! Growing so fast!

Jude meets Grandma and Grandpa Sawyer!

Jeremy's parents came out to visit and meet Jude for the first time last week. It was a busy week full of firsts for Jude.

Firsts for Jude:

Grandma Sawyer holds Jude for the first time. They really love each other. Grandma got to hold, cuddle and feed Jude as much as possible. :O)

Jude meets Great Grandma Bangert for the first time. Great Grandma got to hold him and love on him all week too!

Grandpa Sawyer and Jude meet. In a couple of years they will be buds, ready to fish and play!

Jude enjoys the mountains for the first time! He gets to stay in the cabin that his great grandpa Bangert built! It was a special weekend for everyone!

4 generations at the cabin! Something to cherish forever.

We were really sad to see them head back to Arizona but we are happy knowing that we will get to see them in 3 weeks for Jude's baptism. That will be another memorable weekend for everyone! Can't wait!
