Y3W - Jude's First Easter

Y3W - Jude's First Easter!

We started Easter morning out pretty early - before we left for church we let Jude see what the Easter Bunny left for him. I think he was more confused than excited but either way Mommy and Daddy were excited!

Photobucket
What is this basket for Mommy?

Here we are all dressed up for Easter Sunday church!

Photobucket
Daddy and Jude were so handsome in their Easter "outfits"!! My boys!!

Photobucket
Mommy and Jude ready to go! Looking great in our spring time clothes - too bad it was freakin cold Easter morning!! Oh well, we look good!

Photobucket
After church he was more awake and really got into the Easter basket and easter egg thing. He was so happy!

Photobucket
Mommy and Daddy let Jude try his first candy too! Peeps!! Yum!! He ate that thing so quickly and he really liked it - oh no, what did we start? :O)

Photobucket
Oh so good!! And messy!

Photobucket
So messy that we had to grab a bib. :O) Adorable little boy!

We had a great Easter - we hope you all did too!

Thankful Thursday - Done Chemo Celebration

Last weekend Jeremy and I planned a night out of celebration for my little brother Jarrin. He finished chemo about 3 weeks ago and his latest PET scan shows that the cancer is not active! YAY!! He will start radiation as a precaution in May but HE IS DONE WITH CHEMO!!! It was a great night out.

First for dinner we went to a fantastic Brazilian Restaurant called The Rodizzio Grill. Jarrin was very excited (Jeremy too) this place serves you all you can eat meat! They just come to your table and offer you meat through out your dinner. Meat Man heaven!! LOL!

We all left there exhausted and full! But off we went for more fun at the Duelling Piano Bar in Denver called Sing Sing.

Photobucket
Jarrin up on stage singing and dancing to "I will survive!" Freakin funny!!

Photobucket
I survived cancer and all I got was this stupid bumper sticker! LOL

Photobucket
This celebration calls for some yummy JELLO shots!!

Photobucket
Having a good time with my baby brother! :O) We had a great night - not so great morning after - but it was so worth the fun and laughter!

Photobucket
Kisses!!! ;) Yeah brotherly love!

Photobucket
Time for cake!! What more did we need?

Photobucket
HELL YES! He kicked cancers ass! :O)

In 1 week Jarrin will start radiation and by the end of May hopefully he will be free and clear and we can all move on as a family! We have all grown from this experience but mostly I have learned to be even more thankful for the small things in life - especially days with family!

Toddler Gear Review #1

Wow, did I write that?
Yes I did – no more BABY gear review, we are jumping into the world of Toddler stuff! How exciting yet a little depressing.

Technically Jude isn’t really a Toddler yet, he isn’t walking BUT I really don’t think we can classify this on the go little man in the BABY column anymore!

Photobucket

So here is our first list of “stuff we love” in this age group.

Table Toppers – Disposable Placemats

Photobucket

When I first saw these items in the pile of “random” things I got at my baby showers I wondered if we would ever really take the time to use them or even remember to use them while we were out to eat. Well let me tell ya, these things are fantastic!! Yes there are days when we don’t plan on stopping for lunch or dinner so we don’t have one in our bag BUT I would say that 95% of the time we do use these. Have you ever seen how dirty the tables are at the mall or even Chili’s? GROSS!!

Jude loves picking up his own food now so to know that we are putting his crunchies, cheese and other snacks on a clean surface is wonderful! And the designs are fun too! We personally have one set with dinos and then another set of Pooh Bear. We love these and I know we will be using them for months to come! You can find these at most stores. Even the grocery.
This is another item that I have added to my list of baby shower gifts to give!

Gerber Crunchies

Photobucket

Speaking of food and crunchies – let’s move right along to THE Crunchies!
When we first started introducing Jude to the world of feeding himself and finger foods we started with the little Gerber Puffers and Cheerio’s. He LOVED the Cheerios but HATED the Puffers. We were so surprised. So one day while shopping for baby food, I saw the Crunchies and decided it was worth the $1.92 to see if he liked these.

Well about 5 cans later, we are still buying them. His favorite is the kind that is pictured – Garden Veggie. Yummo! Basically my kid is lovin the “healthier” version of a Cheeto! HA!! LOL Whatever works.

Just a side note – we don’t let him eat a ton of these considering it is just air and corn. His very favorite finger food right now is American Cheese. He has 1 slice a day and loves it! Gobbles that thing up so fast!

Crib Teether – AKA: Crib Saver!!!

Photobucket

So Jude has learned to stand in his crib which puts those 2 little teethers at the level of the crib rail and boy he can get to grinding!
When we saw this we decided it was time to protect that furniture that will be following Jude around until he is on his own! Love the convertible crib!! ;0)

We bought the one pictured above – I found this at Babies R Us, I was a little pricey ($29.99) but in my mind, so worth it! We attached some “chew toys” to this and Jude loves messing with them when he first wakes up from a nap or when he is just chillin in his crib. I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their convertible furniture in good shape for as long as possible!

B. Toys

You MUST visit this website and look at all of the great toys they have. Unfortunately you cannot order these toys online BUT thankfully Target Stores have a great selection of these. Lucky Jude has a TON of these toys but the Drum is most definitely the best one so far! Mostly my review is that B. Toys are a must!

Photobucket

The colors that B. Toys use in their toys aren’t your typical colors which is what is so interesting to me AND they are just adorable toys.

Here is what we have so far!
Drum
Blocks
Bugs (adorable!!)
Wheee-s (cars)

Next on our list:
Fish and Splish
Zany Zoo
Keys
Phone

Well there you have it – our 1st Toddler Gear Review. Amazing!

What is on your list?

Thank you everyone for playing.

Jude's 10 month post will be coming soon!

Take if off Monday's Week 6!

Friday marked week 6 for me on Medifast – seriously 6 weeks on a “diet” I personally think I have done fantastic at staying on this diet! So proud!!

DOWN 2 POUNDS!!
Gone forever!!

Week 6 was pretty much the traditional Medifast diet. I don’t think I had many challenges – I was really focused on staying on program because I knew that week 7 was going to be a struggle with Easter. Damn you Easter candy – more on that next Monday. :) Slightly embarrassed to say how bad I really was. BUT today is a new day and a new day to be on program!

I hit a MAJOR goal during week 6 – I am down 20 pounds!! HELL YES! 20 pounds!!

So guess what that meant? SHOPPING!!! WOOT!! I took my 50 bucks and headed to one of my very favorite stores, Maurices, and bought 1 pair of new SMALLER jeans and 1 new shirt and some cute jewelry!! What a thrill!!

So in 10 more pounds I will be heading to the store again to use 60 dollars to get some great clothes for our May vacation – My goal is to reach that goal (10 pounds) by May 15th so I have time to go shopping for clothes before we leave to go to Arizona on May 19th!! That is 10 pounds in 25 days! YIKES! Got to get in gear!

A little update on how week 7 is going – Easter was rough, candy has filled our house. :( I have to get rid of it! I have NO self-control over Chocolate so this day was horrible on my diet. Again, more to come next Monday. Give me strength y’all!!

I get support from all over the country. Please go to their blogs and give them spport too!! I really couldn't have done this with out them!

Baby Shines Giveaway! #2!!

GIVEAWAY TIME!!!

You have all seen my monthly updates of Jude’s growth and milestones – have you noticed the cute monthly stickers on his onesies? If not, have a look at the last 8 months of Jude's Monthly Milestones. Okay I know I am biased but the baby in the pictures are adorable but look away and check out the stickers! So cute!

Photobucket

Do you want your own adorable milestone stickers? Well you are in luck! Here is your chance!

Photobucket

Photobucket

These monthly milestone stickers are from Baby Shines. Jessi started her business on Etsy and still has that shop but has moved into the world of facebook and even her own website. Not only does she have monthly onesie milestone stickers but she also has bump stickers – you know so you can document how fast and big your baby bump grows throughout pregnancy! Adorable! Wish I saw these when I was pregnant and I will be contacting Jessi for the next one!!

Photobucket

Oh and check out these gift packages for those new mommies in your life! You choose a sex and then a pattern on the stickers. And it even comes with onesies! The perfect shower gift!

Photobucket

Instead of buying a new onesie for every 1st holiday just place a sticker on your own onesie and you save time and money! LOVE!! Photobucket

Oh so many choices! And Jessi has been kind enough to do a giveaway every month in honor of Jude’s monthly picture! Thanks Jessi! You will be able to choose a set of stickers – any color, sex, type – from her websites! Amazing right!?!? You cannot pass this opportunity up! Even if you do not have a little one or a baby bump of your own these make for great shower gifts! Something I buy for every baby shower I attend!

Take it off Monday's Week 5!

I don't have much time to post today - some little man in my house isn't taking naps today and making it very hard to get anything done today!! Thanks Jude!! ;O)

So here is the run down!

I have been on Medifast for 5 weeks now. In total I have lost 18 pounds!!

A-MAZING!

I lost 3 pounds during the 5th week, which I was so happy with. The 2 weeks before were slow losses so this was a great surprise. I am hoping that week 6 brings me to my 2nd goal/reward. We will see.

I really cannot stress enough that this program (Medifast) is an amazing program that is so great for working mothers. I dont even have to think about my breakfasts or lunches at work anymore. Just grab 4 packets of food and off I go! So easy for those early morning. :)

I couldn't do this without my support! I love this group of ladies, they are amazing!

Just some random updates.

I have nothing big to write about today so you get to hear me ramble on and on. Sorry in advance! ;o)

Jude had some hives show up last week on Thursday - at first we thought it was a food allergy but after doing some thinking back there really isnt anything that was new in his diet that would have caused a reaction. So we have decided that it was a virus. Thankfully we havent seen the hives since Friday so I think we are out of woods now.

Jude had his 9 month pictures on Saturday, they turned out so adorable! Unfortuatly, Target changed the way you can upload pictures so I have to wait until I get our printed copies to scan them in and share. I know, sad. :O( Only a couple more days and you will see our 9 month old little boy! These pictures really show him as a boy not a baby anymore!

Jude is pulling himself up on everything now. Crawling like crazy and getting into everything. Fun age for sure!

My brother had some important scans and appointments this week. As soon as we have the results and news I will update.

We are counting down the days until we head to Arizona for a visit too. In about 1 month we will enjoying the summer weather in Arizona! YAY!! We cannot wait to go and visit Jeremy's folks again. I know they will be so surprised at how much Jude has changed. He is growing up so fast.

Well that is an update for now. :O)

Our life is surprisingly slow right now - thank you!! ;)

Sungate Bowlathon

This weekend Jeremy and his co-workers were on a bowling team for a bowlathon for Sungate Kids in Denver Colorado.

Sungate kids is a non-profit organization that helps children go through forensic interviews who have been sexually abused/assaulted.

Jeremy and his team raised just over $1,200! YAY team! This is a yearly fundraiser and it has turned into a competion for a spirit award, which means every year Jeremy has to dress up in some silly costume.

This year his team name was "Dr. Teeth and the electric mayhem" - The Muppets. Jeremy was Animal. This costume was a pain in the butt but it turned out great.

Photobucket
They even made a bus to go with their theme!!

And guess what - They won the spirit award!!
Photobucket
Jude is so happy that Daddy won the award!! :O)

Here are the pictures from the bowlathon!

Photobucket
Daddy as Animal! Jude loved it! No crying or anything.

Time at the park

Jude and his girlfriend Caroline had some time at the park last week. These pictures are just priceless!

Jude loves swinging so I cannot wait for summer to be here so we can go to the park more. The smiles and giggles we get out of Jude at the park are perfect. Come on nice weather!! :O)

Photobucket
On our way to the park. Jude's first wagon ride!

Photobucket
JUDE!! Get off of her!! LOL If this is a glimps into our future, we are in trouble!!

Photobucket
Yes he is riding a chicken! Who doesn't like riding a chicken?

Take it off Mondays - Week 4!

Photobucket

Friday marked week 4 of Medifast for me. Yup 1 month gone. Honestly it has gone fast and it has been so freaking easy! Love!

I only lost 1 pound during week 4. Yeah I know – ONLY 1 pound. Kind of sad but as you will read in my “struggles for this week” I should be really proud of that 1 pound! So with 1 month down I have lost 15 pounds! 15 pounds in 1 month! Very happy with that! Thank you very much Medifast.

Struggles this week: Baby showers, baseball game and hockey game! Yup that was my struggle last week. LOL I had 2 baby showers to attend and of course at each shower there was yummy food and cake! CAKE!! Damn you CAKE!! LOL I caved and I 1 piece of cake at the second shower. Boo! No fun!! Why did I do that? Oh well, moving on. Well then next came the Colorado Rockies game – I was good there, just had a diet coke and 1 of my Medifast bars on the way home. Alright, moving along – queue Colorado Avalanche game. See that ice cream, oh I did! Jeremy and I got ice cream at the game – BAD! I messed up again!! That was Sunday night, Monday I jumped right back on the track of OP and moved onward. See I told you I should be proud of that 1 pound.

Success: Reaching 15 pounds! Holy crap!! In 1 month! Wouldn’t it be great if I could do that every month – now I know that isn’t likely but I can wish!! ;O)

Updates: Still haven’t gotten into a workout routine yet but that’s okay, we will get there. My wish for this next 4 weeks is at least a 12 pound loss. I think I can do it! Damn the weekends – damn the weekends! LOL I love work days because I stay on track. Hoping I can be better this month on the weekends.

I couldn't do this without my support! I love this group of ladies, they are amazing!
