My Friday Confessions...

Friday Confessional

Today I am linking up with Mrs. Eyecansee over at The juice is worth a squeeze. Love her!!

The Juice is Worth the Squeeze

I love my child more than I can express BUT I also love coming to work and having some me time. Yes…I know that sounds awful but it’s true. I am a working mom and proud of it!

Sometimes I take it personal when people do not read my blog posts. Silly I know.

I could drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte every day – maybe two.

I am really excited for maternity leave…not just because we get to meet our daughter but because I won’t have to step foot into my work place for 6 weeks! Praise the Lord!!

I will be using my maternity leave to look for a new job…I am nervous as hell but need a change.

I have a hard time disciplining Jude because he usually says something after he is “bad” to make me laugh. Ooops!

I have no desire to potty train Jude, diapers seem easier right now.

I spend way too much money on my kid’s clothes. I have issues with what my kid’s wear! Lol

I had brownies and chocolate milk for dinner last night.

Happy Friday y’all!
Make sure you link up your confessions!

Daddy Scrubs Review&Giveaway: Diaper Pack

Being a Mommy is hard work, we know that, but being a Daddy is just as hard.  Often the Dad's get overlooked when it comes to expectant father gifts but that is where the company Daddy Scrubs comes in and makes it super easy!

DaddyScrubs™ is the offspring of Robert Nickell, who fathered his first four children more than 20 years ago. DaddyScrubs™ was conceived when Robert, who remarried in 2007, discovered he was about to be a father all over again in the fall of 2009!

Not wanting to endure the pains of wearing uncomfortable street clothes while comforting his laboring wife, Robert hatched the idea of creating doctor-like scrubs for himself. It seemed a natural thing for him to do — since Robert is a pharmacist by profession.

To eliminate the confusion between “who’s the doctor” and “who’s the daddy,” Robert fashioned the concept of “I’m The Daddy™” medical scrubs.

Well, now Daddy Scrubs is so much MORE than scrubs - Daddy Scrubs is your go to place for "daddy to be gifts"!

You all read my review on the scrubs that I was able to give my brother earlier this year for the birth of his twins.  He loves those scrubs and still wears them.  Once I found out Jeremy and I were expecting again I ordered a pair for Jeremy too!!  He will be the talk of the L&D wing for sure!!

When I found out that Jeremy was going to be able to review a couple new dad gifts I was thrilled!!

Jeremy is a hat guy.  What is more perfect for him to have at the hospital?
This hat is well made and perfect for the laid back daddy to be.  Jeremy knows he will be wearing this while we camp out in the hospital.  I love it!  The vintage feeling is great for all sorts of men.

So the hat is amazing but what was Jeremy most excited about?  HIS OWN DIAPER BAG!!  Yes, I just wrote that.  This bag is different though.  PERFECT for men.  It is a back pack just for the new daddy or daddy to be!  With Jude, Jeremy has carried a girly diaper bag...bless his heart.  From now on though he will have is very own pack!

The Daddy Diaper Pack is ready for all things baby!

I think the best part about this diaper bag is the space.  Jeremy will have plenty of room for all those infant needs but also for the toddler toys and accessories!  Makes his life so much easier when he just wants to take the kiddos to the park or the ballgame.

"The custom design allows less fumbling through deep pockets and eliminates struggling to take off the pack while holding baby. The side pockets are great for water bottles, baby bottles, and sippy cups. There’s a big pouch for diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes (and of course a small one for the “dirty stuff”).

The front organizer pocket is designed for the essentials like keys, money, cell phone, pacifier, and small toys. The insulated cooler pocket is perfect for snacks. The skater straps are great for hooking everything from sand pails, to beach towels, to flip flops, hats, and even wet clothes.

Dads need simple. Dads need functional."

Jeremy gives this pack an A+++ and we are packed and ready for baby 2.0.

Please take time to visit the Daddy Scrubs online store - I know you will find something perfect for that new daddy in your life!

GUESS WHAT?!!?  Daddy Scrubs is amazing and are giving my lovely readers the chance to own their very own Daddy Diaper Pack (a $69.95 value)!!  Thank you so much Daddy Scrubs!

A Day Out with Thomas

Jude is all boy, which means he LOVES all things Train related.  Enter Thomas the Train - one of Jude's very favorite characters.

We found out that the Colorado Railroad Museum was hosting a Day Out with Thomas and we knew we had to purchase tickets.  This was a special treat for Jude that served as one of his birthday gifts from us.

We told Jude on Saturday night that when he wakes up tomorrow (Sunday) that we would be going on a trip to visit Thomas the Train so when he woke up on Sunday morning he was ready to go!  NOW?!?! was the question we heard all morning.  So cute.

The museum is in Golden Colorado so it was a beautiful drive and once we got there we saw the crowds!  Wow, talk about a TON of people all wanting to see one train!  lol  Thankfully even with the mass amounts of people it wasn't completely overwhelming or packed.

I know we will be doing this again next year, Jude had an amazing time.  And to be honest, that Thomas the Train looked so cool!!

Jude with Thomas!  (yes we OVERPAID for this picture but I don't care because it was adorable!)

Us on the train that Thomas was pulling.  He is such a strong engine!

Jude with his buddy Jake, we were waiting for everyone to board.

Sir Topham Hatt came for a visit too.  Jude wasn't too sure about this guy!  lol

So excited to be climbing and exploring the trains!

If you have a chance to attend a Day Out With Thomas make sure you do it.  It was so much fun for us all.

Another Mommy War??

I recently read an article on the Baby Center Blog that really made my mind buzz.

We have all heard about “Mommy Wars” right?  Probably the biggest most known Mommy War is that of Nursing vs. Formula feeding but surprise there are more Mommy Wars than that!

First I have to ask – why do we attack each other Mommies?  Why?  We have all been taught that judging is BAD but for some reason us Mother’s take judging to a whole new level at times.

So what Mommy War am I am talking about today?

Toddler Leashes

Seems harmless right?  Well when I opened that article from Baby Center Blog I was blown away by the comments.  Both sides.  Again…stop attacking each other!  Stop judging.  So please when you read this post keep it nice, keep it clean and just play nice!

My opinion has changed since Jude. I always thought that children on leashes must be completely out of control…not anymore, I just think “Wow Jude is full of energy just like that child!”  I think it is important to remember that every child is different.

Jude is a runner, he rarely walks, when he wants to get to something he RUNS!  Now, I think this is great because I know that my little boy is active and healthy.  We all know that the obesity in children is rising and that is scary so run Jude run!!  However, my little runner makes it hard to not have him in a stroller or cart anywhere we go and now this little runner has learned to unbuckle himself.  SUPER!!!

Sometimes I wish Jude would use his ears a little bit better and learn that he needs to stand by us or walk with us but that isn’t the case right now.  People can say, "just hold his hand" but the fact is that is hard sometimes.  Jude is strong physically and mentally, when he wants FREE he will be FREE!  Pretty sure we will be buying a leash soon.  I will be interested to see if he even likes it…I will keep you updated.

With baby 2.0 on the way it is just going to get harder – with Jude out of the stroller he could easily run off and damn he is quick.  This doesn’t make me less of a mother, yes being a mother is a 24/7 job but kids are quick and I would rather have my child safe.  Of course the word Leash makes everyone think of an animal but regardless I think of safety.  I want my child safe and close to me and if he wants to walk next to me I think this will work for us.

But just like I got bad looks/side eyes for the bottle I was using instead of my boob I am pretty sure that I will get those same looks because of the leash.  Boo!!  Why?!!?

Maybe with baby girl we won’t have this issue but if we do she will LEASH UP too!

Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Now which one do we choose for Jude?

Firmoo Glasses - A Review

I wear contacts all day long so when it is time for bed I yank those things out of my eyes and reach for my glasses.  My gross, old, and scratched glasses.  I have needed new glasses for a long time so when Firmoo wanted to work with me I was beyond excited!!

Just another thing to check off of my to do list before Baby 2.0 arrives.  I wanted to have a new pair for my hospital bag that were decent enough so I don't have to wear my contacts the whole time I am in the hospital.

CUTE right??  Purple fun!

I am thrilled with my new glasses.  I choose a fun purple pair and a totally different shape than what I usually do but I love them.  I have been wearing them a lot more and maybe one day I will be brave and wear them to work...maybe!  Until then, I know I will make having a baby look good with these things!  ;O)

Motherlove Pregnant Belly Salve Review & Giveaway

Pregnant Belly Salve is a product created by the COLORADO based company named Motherlove Herbal Company.

I was thrilled to work with Motherlove again.  I absolutely adore their products and they have something for every stage of motherhood.  Pregnancy, Birth, Baby, and Breastfeeding.  Perfect!

History on the company:
Motherlove has been around since 1990 and as the first herbal personal care and supplement line specifically designed for pregnant and breastfeeding women, Motherlove has led the holistic body care industry consistently.
They are always making sure that all of their products reach all certifications in order to give their customers the best products possible.

Facts On the Product:
Scar-healing shea butter is added to the same certified organic herbs and oil base as Motherlove's pregnant belly oil to create this creamy salve that keeps skin soft and elastic. This salve effectively prevents stretch marks and relieves the itch of stretching skin. Wonderful for regular moisturizing in the mornings, evenings or anytime!

Ingredients:  apricot oil, beeswax*, shea butter*,marshmallow root*, rosehips*, lavender flower*, chamomile flower*, calendula flower*,lavender essential oil*

*Certified Organic Ingredients

My Thoughts:
The relaxing scent makes the salve so easy to use and WANT to use multiple times a day.  We all know that the stretching belly is hard - it can be painful and I have found that this salve really helped me not feel like my belly was being ripped apart.  I use it before bed which really helps me sleep too.

Also, I can put this salve on before work and the product does not affect my clothes! The salve is neither greasy nor heavy on the skin. Love that!

In total I have personally used 3 of the Motherlove products and I have been very happy with them all.  I would recommend this product to any woman dealing with that stretchy belly or worries about stretch marks.

Motherlove has graciously offered all of my readers their very own chance to own one of their products!  Thank you so much Motherlove!
If you are the winner you will be able to choose to receive one of the following:
