Teagan's Baptism Day

On Saturday November 24th Teagan Evelyn was baptized.  It was a very special evening event for both of our families and all of our friends.

Invite designed by Inkberry Cards

She was baptized in the church that I have grown up in - baptized in, confirmed in, married in, Jude baptized in and now Teagan as well!  Oh not to mention that my parents were also married in this church.  Very special place for our family.

Godparents:
Our very good friends Sue and Chuck
My brother Jarrin
Jeremy's Sister Heidi

We had a great service followed by a nice dinner with everyone invited.

Thank you to all of our family and friends for sharing this special day with us.

Holiday Gift Guide 2012 - for Kids

How is it already time for gift guides??
I think I am in denial that December is just around the corner.
Below you will find my favorites for kids of all ages.  Gifts that will make you the number one mom, aunt, uncle, dad, grandparent or babysitter!

1.  Ocean Wonders Soothe and Glow Seahorse (FisherPrice)  We received this in PINK for Teagan and she loves it!  It is perfect for infants but I can only imagine that when she is Jude's age this might be her night time stuffy.  The music is soft and soothing and the belly lights up just enough to catch her eye and keep her attention.  This also comes in BLUE for little boys.

2.  I See Me {Personalized Children's Books}  I was thrilled to be contacted by I See Me this year for my very first Holiday Gift Guide.  Jude and Teagan have very original or uncommon names (just like me!) which means finding anything personalized is hard.  I See Me makes it easy.  Jude loves his place mat that he uses for dinner and we cannot wait to give him his Name Coloring Book for Christmas!

Please visit I See Me on Social Media too!

The items pictured above are not the only choices!  You can choice from Princess themes to animal themes.  These gifts are perfect for any age and would make great stocking stuffers!

3.  Rockabye Baby Modern music turned baby lullaby's - Rockabye Baby has made children's music cool for baby and mom and dad!  We love Rockabye Baby and have thanked them over and over for helping us get sleep with Jude.  With out his "Bears" playing in the background he doesn't sleep!!  These CD's are perfect for infants but even toddlers.  Okay, honestly adults too!  I love them!!  lol

Upcoming news for Rockabye Baby:
Releasing the Anniversary Edition the end of 2012
Vinyl Copy of "The Flaming Lips"

4.  Doodle Roll -  What kid doesn't love to color or draw?  Need an idea for a stocking stuffer? This is perfect!  The Doodle Roll is the most versatile & portable arts & crafts activity kit! This all-in-one kit contains a roll of paper and crayons in a compact package, perfect for creative fun on the go anytime, anywhere! The Doodle Roll is available in two sizes with a safe-ez tear edge.
Jude loves his and will be getting another one in his stocking.  We love taking this Doodle Roll to Church because it is easy to carry and easy to clean up!!

Postpartum Update - 1 Month

As I write this blog I am still in disbelief that I have a 1 month old, I say this all the time "it goes way too fast!"  So here we are, 1 month out.  I already gave you all an update on Teagan and Jude but now it is time for a Mommy update.

First of all, wow this maternity leave has been WAY different than Jude's.  Like I said above, it is going really fast but it has also been really busy and stressful.  Remember those cuddle naps and lazy days with your baby?  Yeah, that doesn't happen as much the second time around...sad to say.

We had an emotional start to my maternity leave, we had to say goodbye to Jeremy's Papa who passed away just 3 days before Teagan was born.  It was rough for everyone.  On top of the service we had Jeremy's parents staying with us for a couple of days while they came to Colorado for the service.  I love them, and I am SO thankful for amazing in laws but it was hard to get used to Teagan and extra company.

And now...something else.

Yup that's right, surgery.  FOR ME!  Crap!  I am nervous, I have never had a surgery.  About 2 weeks ago I had a horrible pain in  my chest and back and I ended up in the ER.  I later found out that I have a gallbladder full of gallstones.  OUCH!!  So my gallbladder has to be removed.  I have been reassured that this is an "easy" surgery but I am still super nervous.  This is not how I wanted to spend the last week of my maternity leave either!  Not fun.  HOWEVER, this pain is insane so I am so ready for this pest to be out of my body for good.

On Monday the 26th please send me any thoughts, prayers, and good vibes you can!  ;O)  I will need them. And prayers for us with the recovery with 2 kids...Oy Vey!

Time for the update that everyone always thinks about after having a baby - WEIGHT!

I am officially down to my pre-pregnancy weight. YAY!!  Now do not get me wrong, I am thrilled with seeing that number on the scale after only 4 weeks BUT I hate my body right now.  I cannot wait to be back on Weight Watchers, hopefully in a month I will be back to tracking and losing!  Time to work on this body...a body that has given birth to 2 amazing kiddos and a body that has been abused by myself with food for years.  Time for me!

Okay, if you made it through this post you are a rockstar and I appreciate you!!  ;o)

Updates to follow on the surgery!

Wordless Wednesday: Santa Picture 2012

We decided to hit the mall early this year so we didn't have to deal with lines and crowds to visit Santa.

Jude was thrilled to meet Santa and tell him that he wanted "presents" for Christmas.  That's it...presents!  ;O)  Oh the mind of a 2 year old!

Teagan did amazing too...she didn't cry!!  She was close but she didn't cry!  Success!!

Teagan is One Month Old Already!

Our little Cupcake turned ONE month old today.  Unbelievable!

Teagan is doing so well for a one month old.  Eating, sleeping and growing.  We are still working on the pooping thang.  But we will get it!  ;o)

One Month Stats (at home):
Weight = 9 pounds
Height = 21.5 inches

GROWING!!!

She is such a girl...loves to talk and chat with you.  I feel like she is much more awake during the day than Jude ever was.  It is nice being able to visit and see those baby blues so much.

Jude is doing great too.  In fact, he had to be apart of the monthly chair picture tradition.  I think he misses doing this!  lol  Such a great Big Brother!

Smiles!!

Things I Do Not Want to Forget:

Eating:  She is a noisy eater.  Talks and slurps the whole time she is on a bottle.  Even on a bottle she has some trouble getting that perfect latch.  She is on formula only.  Except we are having to give her 3 ounces of pedalite a day in order to help her poop.  She has been introduced to Grape, Strawberry, Fruit Punch and Apple!  Yum!!  lol  Lucky girl.  She eats about 12 ounces of formula a day.  Between 2-3 ounces every 3-4 hours.

Sleeping:  Naps are not great.  We are not on a good schedule yet.  I am disappointed in this but with all of the family and health issues we are dealing with I really cannot get upset about it.  She is sleeping in a bassinet next to our bed at night and has taken couple naps in her crib in her and Jude's room.  Progress!!  She sleeps about 5 hours at a time.  She has trouble falling asleep and staying asleep but once she is out we get to fall asleep too!!  Again, I cannot complain.

Pooping:  OUCH!!  Poor baby.  As I said before we have to give her extra water through out the day to help her get those poops out.  Even with the last 10 days of 3 ounces of water a day she is struggling still.  :(  Breaks my heart!

Random:  Still in Newborn size clothes and diapers.  Some of her jeggings are getting tight but everything else is fitting her perfect right now. Likes playing on her play mat at night.  She will play for a good 20 minutes before she lets us know she is DONE!  She loves cuddle naps and so do we!!

Well we have made it through a whole month with 2 kiddos.  I cannot believe it.

Happy ONE month Teagan!!

On my Own in Pictures

Jeremy had to go back work this week and I was so nervous and of course sad that he had to leave us.  It has been such a great time for the last 2 and a half weeks with our family of 4!

Well I survived my first 2 days "ALONE".  We had our ups and downs but mostly it went really well and I think we got on some sort of routine!  Progress!

I believe the biggest accomplishment was that I showered both days AND Teagan took a 2 hour nap in her CRIB both mornings!  YAY!!

What have we been up too..

We have played a lot in our playroom.
Played some dress up...meet Mrs. Potato-head!

There has been a lot of this.  She is really great at cuddling.

Jude and I made cookies!  Yum!!  He really likes helping in the kitchen now.

AND THEN THERE WAS THIS...
I have named this the EPIC MELTDOWN!

Yes this was an interesting morning.  Tears, screaming, and PUKE!

Its a good thing he is adorable!

So overall I think we rocked our first 2 days (except for the EPIC MELTDOWN!!).

Conceive Easy - Fertibella {Sponsor Review}

I know how blessed we are.

We have 2 beautiful and healthy children.

When we were trying to get pregnant the first time it took nearly 9 months to get that big fat positive pregnancy test.  Again, not look but those 9 months were long and hard.

We are so lucky that for this round of Trying to Conceive it *only* took 2 cycles of trying – again we know how blessed we are. During those 2 months I was lucky enough to be able to review a Trying to Conceive kit from Fertibella.

 Photobucket

Fertibella Advanced Conception has a Conceive Easy Trying to Conceive (TTC) Starter Kit. Most women don't realize that there are so many SIMPLE things that can be keeping them from getting pregnant - from a lack of nutrients to cycles simply being out of whack from stress.

Fertibella Conceive Easy is a natural aid that boosts the body’s fertility level by stimulating ovulation and effectively overcoming the seven most common causes of
infertility. The formula has been clinically tested and those using ConceiveEasy showed an increased pregnancy rate of 33 percent. While many women will see results the first month, it may take several months to get that BFP.

Fertibella is easy to use - just take a single tablet daily with meals. You don't have to start it on day one of your cycle, or anything like that. Just start taking it as soon as the kit arrives. Not only do you receive the tablets but you receive some Ovulation Prediction Tests and Pregnancy Tests.  Perfect and easy!

Our Conceive Easy Baby.

My Review:
Was this the answer?  For us, it worked.  I took the pills for about 5 weeks and then found out I was pregnant.  I used the tablets and the OPK's and then in then ended up seeing our POSITIVE pregnancy test on one of the Fertibella tests!
I did not have any adverse effects while on the tablets either.  The tests were easy to use as well.  This kit is a great investment if you are TTC.
My excitement was through the roof when I emailed my Fertibella contact and let her know our GREAT NEWS!!
My hopes is that this simple kit works miracles for the many couples that are dealing with the heart breaking run around of Infertility.

How to Purchase:

Building a Bear for his Sister

Before Teagan decided to arrive we did A LOT of mall walking with Jude in tow.  This means he saw the Build-A-Bear Workshop a lot too.  Every time we would pass by the shop we would have to go in a look at the bears and he made it very clear that he wanted to build "Teagie" a bear.

Adorable and so thoughtful - so we had to go do this with him once she was here.

Jude building 2 very special bears.

He chose a black bear for himself.

Helping fill the bear.  He wasn't too sure about this.

Teagan just chilling.

Kissing the heart for Teagan's bear.  She gets a brown bear.

Giving the bears baths.

Jude chose the Fire Fighter outfit for his bear. Perfect!!

Jude insisted that Teagan's bear wear PINK!  Seriously kid!  ;)

Jude with "Princess" and "Roar" - yes he picked those names all on his own!

This was a very special treat for Jude and I know that these bears will be special to both Jude and Teagan for a long time.

Being a Big Brother is hard work - but I think he is doing fantastic!  Especially for a 2 year old!!

Teagan's Newborn Pictures AND a Nickname!!

Once again, our family photographer Sarah from our local Target portrait studios blew us away!  She has always captured Jude's perfect moments and she has started with Teagan now as well!  Love her!!

Teagan was a lot harder to photograph than Jude was in his early months...yikes!  A little scary that Jude was easier!  LOL  As always we bought a ton of prints and I am still working on getting them up in our home.

I just have to say...we have one beautiful strawberry blonde daughter who we have nicknamed CUPCAKE!  Her flavor you ask??  Strawberry!  ;o)
