Seven Up By Janet Evanovich #bookreview

Happy December!  Counting down the days until the new year which means I am just weeks away from completing the 2013 reading challenge.  While I know I am not going to make my goal of 13 books read in 2013 I am thrilled to know that I will have read at least 10!

How are you doing on your reading challenge for 2013?  Any goals for next year?  I will get to my reading goals for 2014 in a couple weeks!

My 10th book read in 2013 was another Stephanie Plum book.  I love her!

Seven Up
(Stephanie Plum Series #7)
By Janet Evanovich

My Review:
Ms. Plum has a way of finding every sticky situation available to her and getting into it.  Guess what…she went wedding gown shopping!  WHAT?  Yeah.  But even with that trip to the boutique she finds herself stuck in a couple situations with Ranger that leave her AND ME wanting more!  Oh Ranger!  Oh Morelli!  Goodness!

We meet a new character in this book.  Stephanie’s sister!  Valerie had me laughing the whole time.  Who wouldn’t want to try to be lesbian for couple days…get a new wardrobe, hair cut and girlfriend?  Oh and not to mention making your mother pass out.  I want to be a fly on the wall at the Plum residence!

Stephanie has a big mystery to solve, along with picking up an old man who lost a heart, all while keeping it together with Morelli.  Stephanie becomes a Harley chick in this book too!  Riding with Grandma and Lulu is priceless!

The story line was a bit hard to get into at first but towards the end I couldn’t put the book down.  Who knows what is next for Stephanie?  Marriage and babies?  Ummm…not sure about that.

My Recommendations:
Just like the other 6 Stephanie Plum books I have reviewed, these books are for mature audiences only!  Great for the person who loves chic lit with a twist of suspense and humor.

My Rating:

I am giving this book a 4.  4 out of 5 cupcakes.  I had a really hard time getting into this book.  I feel like it moved kind of slow in the beginning BUT at the end I couldn’t put it down!

What am I reading now?

Well I am following the crowd and picked up The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
Taking a short break from Ms. Stephanie Plum but believe me I am so reading her again soon!

  1. I LOVE the Stephanie Plum series!!! So much fun to read. I'm only thru #4 so no spoilers please!

  2. I love your rating system. :-)

  3. Thanks for giving me a new author to check out! I love chic lit!
