DIY St. Patrick's Day Door Wreath

DIY St. Patrick's Day Door Wreath

What is going on?  All of a sudden I am like DIY crazy!!  I love it!!  Recently, I decided that our front door needed a little St. Patrick's Day spruce up!  I wanted to do something on my own but knew I couldn't spend hours, so I created an easy ribbon wreath to bring the St. Patrick's Day spirit into our home.

DIY St. Patrick's Day Wreath:

Needs -
18 inch craft ring
Glue Gun
2 different colors/patterns of 2 inch ribbon
1 color of 1/2 inch ribbon
Pre-made ribbon bow (or make one if you are that talented!  lol)
Embellishment(s) of your choice

Directions:

Using one of the colors of 2 inch ribbon, tightly wrap the ribbon around the ring.  Overlapping the ribbon to hide the ring.

Wrap the first color about 3/4 of the way around the ring.  Start the second 2 inch ribbon color.  Hot Glue might be necessary for the ribbon to be secure.  Continue to wrap the ribbon tightly around your ring.

Once the ring is covered you can add your embellishment(s) and the bow.  This is where you can get creative.  Have fun!!

Using the 1/2 inch ribbon create a loop for hanging.  Once the hot glue is dry it is time to decorate!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

  19. This is so neat - it could really work for my son's classroom or for my daughter's dorm room door. It looks like a craft even I can handle (which is to say novice). Thanks for being so far ahead that I can take my time!
