Montessori Reflections for February #Montessori #Preschool

February Montessori Reflections

February has been a fun month for Jude at preschool.  Another month has gone and we are looking at March already!  Crazy.

This month we registered Jude for next school year, he will be attending school 3 times a week for half days and will have the same teacher as he does this year.  I am really happy he will have Mrs. L for another year.  They have a special bond and I love that.  Jude adores going to school and feels comfortable with her.  I believe that next school year we will see an even bigger change in him.

Jude has been obsessed with the Human Body recently, this is partly from school but mostly from my mom teaching him facts when he asks.  This 3 year old can tell you exactly how a human body works when eating.
He knows what an esophagus is and that your brain tells your nerves to pick up you food to eat!  Unbelievable.  He has told us and his teacher that he wants to be a scientist.  I love that!!

As the room mom I planned a special Valentine's Day party for his classroom.  We had a great time doing crafts, exchanging Valentine's and eating a snack.  I really enjoy having the time with Jude in the classroom.

We made these adorable Valentine holders together.  He was very proud of his doggy.

Such concentration! We also made a special Valentine's Day photo frame magnet.  He had a really fun time at his party.

Check out his great classmates!  Such a fun and good group of kids.  They all seem to like each other which is really fun to watch.

One thing that I absolutely love about the Montessori classroom is the change of scenery with the changing of seasons.  RIght now all of the work is red or pink.  During Christmas it was Red and Green.  I think having the classroom update as the year goes on really helps the kids stay focused on their work.

Bring on Spring!

  1. Looks like this was so much fun. I love having my daughter at home but part of me can't wait till pre-school so that I can get involved with stuff like this!

  2. Super cute valentine's day activity. I'm jealous that you get to go in and do projects with the kids each season!
