We are a traveling family and love it.  Jeremy's parents live in Arizona so we always try to fly out there at least once a year which means since Jude was born we have been making multiple airplane trips as a family.  While we have been doing it now for close to five years I will admit it can be stressful.  This year for Easter break, which is pretty much Spring Break for Jude, we are heading to the warm weather in Phoenix!  Cannot wait!  So how do we Survive Spring Break Travel...with kids?  Here are some of my tips that should make your trip easier and stress-free!

Snacks and Drinks!  Look people, your flight will probably be delayed when your children decide to lose their minds.  This means you need to be prepared!  Thankfully, the restrictions for food and snacks are lower now at airport security, the parents thank you TSA!!  I always bring a wide variety of snacks because you never know what snack you child will fancy that day and who knows how long you will need to keep those crazies happy!  TSA does not allow you to bring liquid so I bring the kid's water bottles empty and then fill them with water right after we get through security.   Also, think convenience when packing snacks - the less messy and easier to eat items are the best!  Examples:  applesauce pouches, crackers, fruit snacks, raisins, grapes and granola bars.

Be that mom!  Yes the mom that has everything; tissue, band-aids, hand sanitizer and wipes.   You never know when someone is going to sneeze something terrible or fall and scrape their knee while running through the airport so why not be prepared?  Band-aids and tissue can also come in handy if you are doing a lot of sight seeing on your trip.  I always carry my little hand sanitizer bottle for those 'oh my gosh, gross' moments but when we are in an airport I am even more aware of where my hands and my family's hands are touching.

Thankfully, I have found a great, portable canister full of PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes that complement my PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer and are proven to reduce the transmission of germs in households and other spaces.   The airport is full of germs and sticky situations, all I can think about is protecting my family from finding a cold or virus when on vacation.  To ensure that we fight those off as well as we can, we use these wipes before we eat our snacks, after we explore the kid area and after bathroom breaks!  Super easy to use during the on the go times of traveling. PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes are safe and effective for cleaning hands and help us keep those little hands nice a clean!

Games and activities!  Traveling is hard on everyone but especially for kids.  We always surprise the kiddos when we get on the plane with a new small toy or activity book.  These Play Pack Grab and Go packs are amazing!  I always stock up on them because they make my world easier.  The crayons, paper, stickers and activity is all in one special pack!  Boom!!  Happy kiddos - Happy plane trip!  We have also found some fun mini puzzles to do on the tray table during the flight, fun for everyone.  Then we pray for a nap!  Ha!

Now that you are packed and ready for travel you can also be prepared for your vacation.  All of these items that we include in our travel bag help us have a great vacation and visit to our Spring Break location as well. Traveling doesn't have to be THAT stressful when you are prepared.  PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes are perfect for those moments when you need to both clean and sanitize your hands - being prepared!

Think I am kidding?  We have all been sick on vacation and it isn't fun so when I read a study conducted at University of Arizona that showed a significant reduction in risk of infection with use of PURELL® Hand Sanitizing Wipes in the home at least once per day, I was sold! I knew that if that happened in a home, it would also be helpful in a busy airport!
