Fall in Colorado is beautiful and, honestly, my favorite season. Our fall season is always celebrated by many family traditions, such as heading to farms and pumpkin patches and baking and crafting. Once October comes up on the calendar, we are making sure we are taking in and enjoying every piece of the fall season.
On top of great activities and traditions, I especially love the flavors and food of fall. Everything is so warm and flavorful. I don't know about you, but I work in an office setting every day. It is a consensus that fall is the best season in Colorado, but, because we're inside all day, we miss some of those crisp fall days. Last week, I decided to bring a little taste of fall into the office with me.
Introducing a perfect fall tapas plate. Are you familiar with tapas?
Tapas: Tapas are a wide variety of appetizers or snacks in Spanish cuisine. They may be cold or hot. In select bars in Spain, tapas have evolved into an entire sophisticated cuisine.
Now, this tapas plate is not a Spanish cuisine but the idea is a number of small servings to be enjoyed.
I headed to Target and instantly found my fall flavor inspiration. Archer Farms, Target's exclusive brand, has an extensive assortment of delicious, fall-inspired flavors. Finding these delicious products made it super easy for me to create this fall-inspired tapas plate for my coworkers. The flavors are amazing, and I knew I wouldn't be the only one feeling the fall season in the office when I walked into work.
Everyone is on board with the pumpkin spice craze so, I had to find something with that traditional fall flavor. The pumpkin spice fans in the office were instantly all over the pumpkin spice biscotti.
I wanted to make sure I had flavors for everyone and different kinds of tapas too. I picked up some Archer Farms popcorn that was a huge hit at work and at home. YUM! caramel apple popcorn and cranberry caramel popcorn-nothing screams fall more than some caramel!
To build my tapas plate, I found a good-sized serving platter and started with the traditional apple slices and caramel dipping sauce in the middle. I simply arranged the rest of the fall-inspired Archer Farms products around the apples and caramel dipping sauce. Looks great, right?
Archer Farms did all of the work for me too. I simply had to open the packages and arrange the tapas on the platter. Easy way to make coworkers happy and ready for the new season! Another favorite was the cinnamon and sugar sweet potato corn tortilla chips-all I can say is that if you buy these you should probably buy two bags. People will want seconds.
I love baking in the fall but sometimes I do not have time in the evenings after the kids go to bed. Being able to run to Target and take advantage of some seasonal flavored items makes my world easier. This perfect fall tapas plate is not only perfect for office treats, but also think about all of the upcoming parties and events you will be invited to. Walk into the event with a plate full of tapas that will have the party talking.
