Write a Story:
So we are introducing the idea of more reading to the kids on this celebration but why not start teaching how authors create books for us to enjoy? This is an art that can be started at a young age and something that kids work on for a long time.
This Preschool Alphabet Book is a great way to start this kind of activity. Have the young kids work on something that will create a big alphabet book or even have them do a short story with their drawings. The possibilities are endless! Creative minds are fun to see grow!
Have the kids find and share their favorite book. This would be a fun activity in a classroom or daycare but especially at home. Even younger kids can do a verbal book report on why they enjoy reading their favorite books.
Need some book suggestions - here are our Must Read Children's Books of 2016! All are great to enjoy with the family and the kids love "reading" to themselves with these great picture books too!
Enjoy Dr. Seuss's Birthday and make sure you pick up a book and read!!
